If the monitor does not function properly, the magnet and reed switch should be checked.
Pivot the pedal frame until the magnet is aligned with the reed switch. Slide the reed switch in or out until there is a 1/8″ gap between the magnet and the reed switch. If necessary, loosen the #8 x 3/4″ screw and adjust the position of the reed switch. 
The link arms on the CardioGlide and Rider should be oiled every six months. Apply a few drops of light multi-purpose oil at the joints. The CardioGlide is shown.
